A well-established and respected legal practice in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs is seeking an experienced Admitted Litigation Attorney to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident litigation professional with strong High Court and Magistrate’s Court experience, exceptional drafting skills, and the ability to manage matters independently from consultation through to trial or arbitration.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities * Consult with clients and counsel and provide sound, practical legal advice. * Manage complex litigation matters from inception to conclusion. * Conduct legal research and analyse legal precedents and probable outcomes. * Draft pleadings, legal opinions, correspondence, applications and other legal documents. * Prepare matters for High Court, Magistrate's Court, tribunal and arbitration proceedings. * Gather, assess and compile evidence. * Brief and liaise with counsel where required. * Handle litigation with minimal reliance on advocates where appropriate. * Represent clients in civil litigation, hearings and arbitrations. * Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and legal documentation. * Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships. Minimum Requirements * Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. * Minimum 2 years' post-admission litigation experience. * Proven High Court and Magistrate's Court litigation experience. * Commercial litigation experience is highly advantageous. * Exceptional legal drafting ability. * Strong legal research and analytical skills. * Excellent communication, negotiation and client-facing skills. * Strong problem-solving ability. * Able to work independently and manage a demanding caseload. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment. * Strong leadership qualities. * Computer literate. * Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport.
