Our client, an established and diversified property development group with interests across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, is seeking a practical and commercially minded Legal Advisor to join their team.
 
This role is suited to an experienced legal professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and can provide broad legal, commercial, and HR support across multiple business units. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing legal risk, supporting property transactions, and ensuring strong governance practices across the group.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Provide general legal advice and guidance to management and internal stakeholders Support the implementation of company policies, procedures, and best practices Identify, assess, and assist in managing legal, commercial, and compliance risks Draft, review, and manage legal correspondence, notices, and corporate documentation Liaise with external attorneys, conveyancers, consultants, and other stakeholders Assist with litigation management and dispute resolution processes Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and property-related agreements, including sales, leases, construction, service, loan, security, and confidentiality agreements Provide legal support on property acquisitions, disposals, and developments Review title deeds, servitudes, land-use approvals, and conveyancing documentation Liaise with conveyancers on transfers, subdivisions, consolidations, and sectional title matters Support homeowners’ association and body corporate matters Draft board and shareholder resolutions and support governance processes Maintain corporate records and assist with company secretarial requirements Review memoranda of incorporation, shareholder agreements, and governance documents Draft employment contracts, appointment letters, warnings, and employee correspondence Support performance management, disciplinary processes, and employee relations matters Maintain HR policies and assist with general employment-related queries Requirements LLB degree Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa Minimum 5 years’ post-admission experience Strong experience in commercial contract drafting and legal advisory work Solid knowledge of commercial, corporate, and property law Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Apply:   POPIA Disclaimer: By submitting your application, you consent to Persona Staff (PTY) Ltd processing your personal information for recruitment purposes in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
