SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee end-to-end agricultural production across farms and related facilities. The role focuses on driving efficient, high-quality crop production while managing people, resources, budgets, and compliance. The ideal candidate combines strong agricultural expertise with a commercial, data-driven mindset and a holistic approach to farming operations.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the agricultural industry, with at least 5 years in a management role
Strong background in horticulture and crop production, preferably within the vegetable sector
Proven experience managing agricultural operations from planting through to harvest, packing, and logistics
Solid knowledge of production planning, budgeting, cost control, and yield optimisation
Experience in procurement, supply chain, and strategic sourcing within an agricultural environment
Understanding of retailer technical and audit requirements (advantageous)
Experience supplying produce into major South African retail value chains (advantageous)
Strong leadership skills with experience hiring, training, and managing farm teams
Knowledge of food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance
