SUMMARY:
Gijima Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the FMCG industry for the critical role of AI Technical Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned AI professional with a passion for innovation, performance optimisation, and technical leadership. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in shaping and delivering high-impact AI solutions aligned with the organisation's data and digital strategy.
Please note: FMCG industry experience is a strict, non-negotiable requirement for this role.

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. AI Solution Delivery & Performance Optimisation

Analyse complex business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient AI systems.
Lead the development of robust architectures, implement CI/CD pipelines, and drive performance optimisation through A/B testing and benchmarking.
Improve AI application reliability, reduce latency, and meet defined service-level objectives.

2. AI Centre of Excellence (COE) Implementation

Champion COE standards by developing guidelines, leading training, and ensuring team adherence through audits and feedback.
Enhance code quality, reduce development time, and increase team adoption of AI best practices.

3. AI Innovation & Business Impact

Research and prototype emerging AI technologies with clear business cases.
Develop proof-of-concepts that result in cost savings, revenue generation, or competitive advantage.
Contribute to AI innovation through patents, publications, or proprietary frameworks.

4. Team Leadership & Capability Building

Mentor AI developers through regular sessions, knowledge-sharing workshops, and technical feedback.
Create and manage a knowledge base, promote continuous learning, and reduce technical debt across the team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field.
2+ years in AI/ML development with proven leadership in AI project delivery.
Proficient in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.
Experience with cloud-based AI/ML tools (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Strong data mining and analysis skills for large, complex datasets.
FMCG industry experience is mandatory.
