AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN

POSITION INFO:
RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a qualified and experienced AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN for a well-established large establishment - position based in KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. JOB DESCRIPTION Grade 12. Valid drivers license \/ own reliable vehicle. National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field. Competent computer literacy (MS Office, Email \/ Internet). 5yrs+ previous experience in a similar position. PLC programming and control systems. Working experience on Siemens PLC's is required. Experience on Wonderware an advantage. HMI and SCADA platforms. 5yrs+ previous working experience in an industrial automation environment. Working experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, or dairy operations an added advantageous. Knowledge of industrial network and communication protocols. Person will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant automation systems, supporting manufacturing operations, managing industrial networks, and participating in capital projects to drive operational excellence and reliability.
