JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role of the Account Executive is to take full accountability for a dedicated client (industry
vertical) and be responsible for the entire sales cycle. The Account Executive connects with warm
prospects to craft product solutions, offer compelling sales pitches, lead demos, and close deals.
The incumbent works closely with current and prospective customers as a trusted digital advisor to
deeply understand their unique company challenges and goals and offers solutions that will help
them reach their business goals. The Account Executive Leverage sales call best practices, team
collab methods, selling tactics, and key tools to close deals quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics, with a
    strong emphasis on new business sales, while expanding existing accounts by seeking
    opportunities for upselling
  •  Use your solution selling expertise to respond optimally to customer needs and identify business
    potential in order to create a strategic, long-term partnership with customers.
  • Accurately forecast and achieve revenue goals by selling Salesforce solutions within vertical
    market.
  • Engage with prospect clients to position Salesforce solutions through strategic value based
    selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, references and analyst data.
  • Strengthen client relationships through regular engagement and face-to-face meetings
  • Collaborate with customers and internal consultants during project planning and implementation
    to share comprehensive knowledge of the Salesforce platform and product suite.
  • Collaborate cross functionally internally to actualise deal strategy.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience:

  • BCom/Business Management degree or related field
  • 2-5 years of sales/prospecting experience with proven track record of success in sales (i.e.
    achieving/exceeding quota in recent sales positions) ideally with a software/IT background
  •  Focussed, vertical (industry specific) experience is an advantage as is knowledge of the
    Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to work with an extended team to understand complex customer requirements and
    craft custom solutions.
  •  Ability to analyse customer issues, articulate comprehensive solutions, and craft a plan of action
  • Ability to negotiate (complex) deals.
  • Solution selling skills, including ability to articulate ROI, plan and close a deal - ability to sell both
    an application and deployment of a platform.
  • Evidence of relationship building skills with an ability to grow and nurture relationships.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven to succeed; resilient and resourceful
  •  Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills – collaboration and persuasiveness
