An Industrial/Capital Equipment and Heavy Machinery Company based in Cape Town URGENTLY seeks an Account Manager/Sales representative to join their dynamic team to achieve sales objectives within product range.Pursues sales leads, promotes products. concludes orders and arranges internal sales logistics. Succesful candidat

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

  • Grade 12(Essential)
  • National Diploma/Bachelors

Requirements

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and SYSPRO
  • Strong technical aptitude within Capital Equuipment/Heavy Machinery(MUST)
  • Excellent presentation skills and or direct sales experience in indistrial products
  • Above avaerage analytical skills needed to assess customer requirements in order to successfully market GDI products
  • 3 years experience in a similar role

Duties

  • Sales Calls-Presentations:
  • Visits existing and potential customers, presents product information, quotations and proposals to customers during various stages of the sales process.
  • Proposal Development:
  • Prepares formal written proposals for presentation to customers. Coordinateswith Distribution organization and all internal departments to communicate customer’s requirementsduring the development of inquiry responses and formal written proposals.
  • Sales Goals:
  • Develops business plans and achievable sales goals with management coveringown and distributor personnel. Provides territorial feedback on marketing regarding current andpotential customer needs, competitive offerings, pricing strategy and programs.
  • Margin Development:
  • Consults with Manager on setting margins when margins needed to promotea sale deviate from guidelines. Investigates and keeps management informed of low or eroding margins whenproducts are competitively priced.
  • Written Communication:
  • Ensures reportsare maintained as necessary to track the status of inquiries, quotes & bids.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned or required
