SUMMARY:
Our clients are consistently looking for high-calibre Accountants with a strong background in the financial services sector. These professionals are key to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and analysis in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and the applicable regulatory requirements.
Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Provide support in regulatory reporting, tax calculations, and submissions.
Collaborate with Auditors (internal and external) during audit processes.
Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
Maintain strong internal controls and assist with implementing best practices across finance operations.

Requirements:

Relevant Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA(SA), CIMA, or equivalent qualification preferred).
3–5 years’ experience in a financial services environment (e.g. banking, insurance, asset management, or investment industry).
Solid understanding of financial instruments, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards (IFRS essential).
Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving ability and communication skills.
Proficient in accounting software and financial reporting systems.
