Accountant – Software & Services Industry
ð Johannesburg North
ð° R360 000 – R420 000 per annum (including benefits)

POSITION INFO:

ð What You’ll Be Doing

Oversee supplier processing, reconciliations, and payment schedules
Manage VAT compliance, including reconciliations and submissions
Handle provisional and annual tax returns
Process bank, forex, and petty cash transactions
Assist in preparing local and international payments
Conduct revenue reconciliations and deferred revenue processing
Maintain fixed asset register and monitor stock adjustments
Manage payroll inputs, commissions, and inter-company accounts
Prepare monthly management accounts and review balance sheet recons
Support budgeting, audit prep, and financial reporting up to trial balance
Supervise and guide the finance team in daily operations

â What You’ll Need

Relevant Accounting Degree
Minimum 6 years in a similar role
Proficiency in Pastel, Sage, or similar accounting software
Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of VAT, tax compliance, and general accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, deadline-driven mindset
Solid organizational and team leadership skills
