SUMMARY:
Accountant - Knysna

Property development company (real estate) is on a recruitment drive for an accountant to join their team.
The ideal candidate must be a team-player, have high attention to detail and highly organized.

Duties include but not limited to:

Maintenance of accounting records for a group of companies
Tracking income from property sales and rentals
Expense Management - recording and categorizing costs related to construction, maintenance and operational expenses
Depreciation Accounting - calculating asset depreciation to reflect the declining value of properties over time.
Financial Reporting - preparing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports to assess financial health
Tax compliance - managing VAT, income tax and audit preparation to ensure adherence to SA Tax Laws
Municipal charges and vendor payments - handling payments for utilities, municipal fees and supplier invoices.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

BCom Hons degree - financial accounting
SAICA / SAIPA articles completed
3-5 years accounting experience
Computer literate - MS Office Suite & SAGE online
Working knowledge of SARS e-filing VAT EMP
