POSITION INFO:
Our client is a leading name in the FMCG sector, supplying top retailers and distributors across the country. With a focus on quality, innovation, and reliability, the business is expanding rapidly and finance sits at the centre of that success.

As Accountant, you’ll take ownership of the full accounting function, from daily reconciliations to monthly management reporting. You’ll work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure that every number tells the right story. This is a role for a doer — someone who can balance structure with speed, and precision with practical insight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full accounting function from general ledger maintenance to trial balance and month-end reporting.
• Prepare and analyse management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Oversee reconciliations (bank, supplier, customer, and inventory).
• Process journals, accruals, and adjustments within Sage.
• Collaborate with operational teams to align costing, stock, and production data with financial results.
• Maintain VAT and statutory compliance, assisting with audits and external reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience, ideally within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Systems: Sage proficiency is essential.
• Qualification: A completed Diploma or Degree in Accounting is beneficial but hands-on experience will take priority.
• Skills: Strong reconciliations, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
