Accountant

SUMMARY:
A well-established and growing medical supply company based in the East Rand is seeking a CIMA Strategic Level Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic operational environment and contributing to strategic financial decision-making.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering, supporting management with insights to drive profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls
• Assist with year-end financial statements and audit processes
• Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making
• Partner with operational teams to monitor financial performance and cost control
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Support business growth initiatives and investment evaluations

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis
• Assist management with financial planning and scenario modelling

• Drive improvements in financial processes and reporting systems
• Assist with ERP/system enhancements and automation initiatives
• Ensure data accuracy and reporting efficiency

• Monitor inventory, margins, and cost structures within the supply chain
• Assist with cash flow management and working capital optimisation

Minimum Requirements

• CIMA Strategic Level (completed or in progress)
• BCom Accounting / Financial Management or related degree
• 5+ years accounting experience in a commercial environment
• Experience with management reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Strong Excel and ERP system experience
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or medical/healthcare sector advantageous
