An exciting opportunity has become available for a Financial Accountant to join a growing and innovative business operating across multiple entities. This role is ideally suited to an experienced accounting professional with strong inventory and stock control exposure, who enjoys taking ownership of month-end processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, and operational finance functions.

Duties & responsibilities

Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls
Analyse financial performance and provide variance commentary to management
Oversee inventory accounting, stock valuation, and stock control processes
Review sales invoicing processes and accounting journals
Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure statutory compliance
Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes
Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors
Ensure accurate reporting across multiple entities, warehouses, and currencies

Qualifications & Skills:

BCom
3+ years of accounting experience
Proven inventory and stock accounting experience essential
VAT compliance and statutory reporting experience
Audit preparation and year-end reporting experience
ERP/accounting systems
