POSITION INFO:
A prestigious, well-established group is seeking a highly experienced, self-motivated Senior Financial Accountant with at least 8 years of solid commercial experience to oversee the accounting function for their manufacturing division. This position is custom-built for an accomplished finance professional who excels at taking full ownership of multi-entity ledgers, payroll processes, and statutory returns while working independently from home. Operating as a key anchor within the finance division, you will manage everything from trial balance processing and Sage Payroll Professional administration to complex VAT\/EMP reconciliations and inventory tracking on Microsoft systems. Key Responsibilities: Full-Function Accounting & Reporting: Process transactional accounting entries up to Trial Balance across multiple entities, assisting with the preparation of management accounts, income statements, and cash flow statements. Payroll Administration & Submissions: Manage full-cycle payroll processing on Sage Payroll Professional , alongside preparing UIF declarations, UIF claim documentation, and annual Return of Employment (ROE) submissions. Statutory Compliance & SARS Reconciliations: Prepare and submit all statutory returns including VAT201, EMP201, and EMP501 reconciliations, provisional tax, and corporate income tax. Audit Preparation & Schedules: Compile comprehensive year-end audit files, including fixed asset registers, leave provisions, and supporting schedules, while serving as the primary liaison for auditor queries. Cash Management & Inventory Controls: Verify payment batches via Standard Bank Business Online, perform detailed supplier\/VAT reconciliations, and maintain accurate inventory records on Microsoft systems for manufacturing operations. Job Experience and Skills Required: Formal Education: A completed BCom Degree in Accounting is essential. Experience Track Record: Minimum of 8 years of solid, reference-backed commercial accounting experience with a stable career history (manufacturing side experience is essential). Systems & Digital Capabilities (Non-Negotiable): Extensive, hands-on operational command of Sage Evolution is a strict requirement. Deep practical experience with Sage Payroll Professional . Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft inventory management systems.
