Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant to join their finance function. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, maintaining effective financial controls, and providing valuable insights to drive business performance.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will contribute to operational efficiency and help inform strategic decision-making.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to finance-related projects Partner with operational stakeholders to support business requirements and performance objectives Minimum Requirements Qualifications: BCom Accounting or equivalent accounting qualification AGA(SA) or PA(SA) designation highly advantageous Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles will be beneficial Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience within a commercial accounting environment Proven experience preparing management accounts and financial reports Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting standards Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Strong organisational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Commercially astute with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
