JOB SUMMARY:

Our client, based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, has a nationally well-known brand with a core set of values which make it a preferred employer. They currently have a vacancy for an ACCOUNTANT.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent will primarily be responsible for:

The full accounting function up to trial balance
Weekly and Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset register
Maintain general ledger
Implementing internal controls and assisting with internal audit function
Balancing inter-company accounts
Actively participate in strategic discussions to ensure finance activities align with business strategy
Stock count participation and overall stock control

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Accounting
SAIPA/ SAICA complete articles will be highly advantageous
Accurate and detail orientated
Good time management
Proficient in excel
Fast learner who takes initiative
Ability to work under pressure
