JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manufacturer and supplier of equipment to the food manufacturing industry, seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Accountant to assist the Financial Manager. Based in PAARL.

For the position you would be required to have:

B. Com in Accounting
Around 2 - 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Experience with MS Navision will be a definite advantage

Responsibilities would include you to:

Assisting the Finance Manager in managing the accounting function i.e. Costing, Reporting, Generation of management info.
Oversee daily cash book transactions.
Process foreign currency payments/receipts.
Reconcile general ledger accounts.
Process month-end transactions & journals.
Reconcile & complete prescribed month-end procedures.
Stand-in & oversee Debtors & Creditors ledgers.
Costing of all equipment manufactured & update pricing with Sales department.
Generate reports for various departments.
Prepare & file VAT submissions.
Maintain the fixed asset register.
Ensure all statutory requirements are met.
Assist the Finance Manager with other ad/hoc projects as required.
Accurate record-keeping.
