JOB SUMMARY:

Our client, a factory in the Darling district, is looking for a young, dynamic and purposeful ACCOUNTANT who can be part of their existing management team to cover all facets / disciplines of finance management.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The suitable candidate must have the following:

An appropriate completed degree i.e. Bcomm / Bcompt
Completed articles or 5 years of accounting experience
Practical accounting experience (including the preparation of financial statements and tax calculations of companies, trusts and individuals and compliance with all statutory requirements (VAT / PAYE))
Advanced computer skills (Eg Sage X3, Pastel, MS Office, etc.)
Good communication skills

The prospective / suitable candidate must demonstrate the following characteristics:

Excellent Administrative and Numeracy skills
Good Management and Planning skills
Fully bilingual in both Afrikaans and English
Good Leadership
Proactive approach in the execution of duties and planning
Accuracy, Cost awareness
Seasonal, irregular and long hours are part of the job, and it will be expected of the incumbent to walk the proverbial extra “mile”
