Summary of position;

To be part of a dynamic finance team in the Tourism, Property and Finance section. To provide accurate and timeous information the Financial Accountant and the Financial Manger. To be part of a very high-pressure, deadline driven environment. Main responsibilities will be the accurate capturing of all data up to Trial Balance.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 / equivalent essential
Relevant Finance qualification

Experience

3 - 4 years experience in a similar position
Advanced MS Office skills
SAGE Evolution (beneficial)
Opera PMS (beneficial)
Hospitality industry experience (beneficial)

Key accountabilities

Full Creditors Function
Debtors
General Journals (Salary, Revenue, Depreciation, Accruals and Provisions, Cost of sales)
Sound knowledge of VAT processing and the implications thereof
Management Accounts
Controls of ordering processes, payment controls and stock takes
Cash and credit controls
Preparation for the external audit file to be reviewed by the Financial Manager before external audit commences
Balance Sheet Recons
VAT recons
Cost Control
Assisting the financial manager and CFO with any queries related to the Finance department
Assist Financial Accountant with the annual budget processes
