Our Blackheath (Cape Town) based client has been manufacturing since 1904 and is looking for a mature and assertive Accountant with 5+ years’ experience in a FMCG environment to use their SYSPRO experience when managing accounts, GL journals, Forex transactions, generating Management Reports and more. Should you be this gem then we would like to hear from you.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 with maths / accountancy
• Tertiary qualification in accounts / costing
• Min. 5 years’ financial accounting experience in a manufacturing / FMCG environment
• Good English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Computer literate: MS Office and SYSPRO
• RSA citizen
• Mature and assertive personality

Responsibilities:

• Manage creditors, debtors and cashbook
• GL journals
• Recon accounts, asset register and loan accounts
• Prepare and analyse Management Reports
• Authorise banks / take out FEC and update schedule
• Authorise inward / payments and beneficiaries on Forex
• Take out daily payment deals on Accellerate / Forex platform
