JOB SUMMARY:
Our client, based in Hout Bay, requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, to join their finance team in the role of Accountant / Bookkeeper.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Full Bookkeeping function (posting of journal entries, sales invoices, supplier invoices, cashbook entries, etc.);
Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
Review the accuracy of ledger accounts;
Accounts payable/receivable;
Liaising with auditors and assisting in the audit process;
Assist with month-end reporting and payments.
Fixed Asset registers
Stock control
Reconciliation and submission of all statutory returns (VAT, PAYE etc.)

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Tertiary Qualification in Accounting
SAIPA / SAICA Articles would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite.
10 – 15 years comparable experience

SKILLS:

Strong MS Excel skills
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Deadline driven
Mature person

An above-market-related salary is on offer. The ideal candidate would be living in Hout Bay or the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.
