SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Accountant for a permanent role based in Germiston, Gauteng

POSITION INFO:
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12, with B.Degree in Accounting
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience – printing / production environment ideal, but not essential
Valid drivers and own vehicle
Must have working experience with Syspro ERP and MS Office as well as being advanced in Excel
Willing to work overtime when required and able to work under pressure

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Support the month-end and year-end close process
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Record and verify daily financial transactions
Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and customer invoices
Follow up on outstanding invoices and handle collections as needed
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
Monitor actual vs. budget performance and report variances
Assist with internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems
Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed
Assist in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Salary: Market related
