SUMMARY:
A well-established business within the digital payments space is looking to appoint an Accountant to support its expanding finance function.

POSITION INFO:
This role suits a hands-on individual who takes ownership of their work, has a strong grasp of financial principles, and can operate effectively in a dynamic, high-growth environment. You will work closely with both the finance team and senior stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the general ledger across multiple entities within the group
Assist with producing monthly management reports and supporting schedules
Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances
Strengthen and uphold internal controls and financial procedures
Provide support during audit cycles, including preparation of required documentation
Process and oversee regular payments to suppliers and partners
Assist with regulatory and statutory reporting obligations
Manage and reconcile inter-company transactions and balances
Contribute to Board-level reporting and financial insights
Support the team with ad hoc analysis and finance-related queries

Minimum Requirements:

Postgraduate qualification in Finance or a related field
Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles or approximately 3 years of relevant experience
Exposure to listed environments or a solid understanding of reporting standards (including IFRS) is advantageous
Experience working on Xero is beneficial
Background within financial services or a payments environment is advantageous
Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
Own reliable transport
