SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Accountant (Statistics & Tax) for our client in the Services Industry, based in Eastern Suburbs, Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Accounts preparation with specific focus on IFRS for SMME’s.
Audit preparation.
Financial analysis and review.
Management reporting.
Delivering timely statutory financial statements and reports, and liaison with external auditors.
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Tax calculation and Tax return preparation (Deferred tax as well as IT14)
Knowledge and application of VAT and Payroll taxes
Annual Company secretarial duties (file CIPC returns and upload AFS)
Ad hoc treasury duties
Risk & Compliance experience (Identify and control)
Governance (Understand the concepts of King IV and similar recommendations)

Requirements:

2 years, working experience would be a minimum consideration.
Experience with CaseWare or similar products is essential.
Candidates with a sound knowledge of Corporate Income Tax would be given preference.
Candidates from a Consulting or Construction background would be desirable.
A newly qualified CA; B.Compt (Hons) with completed articles who has specialised working knowledge of requirements such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for SME’s as well as experience of working with local regulators and SARS.
Registration with SAICA would be advantageous.
