JOB SUMMARY:
Accounts Receivable Controller (Kempton Park)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role will be primarily responsible for collecting debts from our company debtors, evaluating new credit requests, ensuring timely payments of company debts, ability to reconcile complex debtors accounts, processing invoices, maintaining the sales ledger, and providing administrative support.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

ØDiploma in Accounting (advantageous).

ØPrevious work experience as an accounts receivable controller.

ØA basic understanding of VAT.

ØAbility to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish team goals and objectives.

ØGood communication skills, including face-to-face, written and by telephone.

ØMust have a high attention to detail.

ØAbility to thrive under pressure and adhere to deadlines.

Ø

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

ØEvaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks.

ØManaging and collecting debts from company debtors.

ØSetting up the terms of credit for new clients.

ØNegotiating payment plans and settlements

ØManaging the collection of all payments and debts efficiently.

ØResponding timeously to client inquiries

ØProcessing of invoices and credit notes

ØEnsuring customer statements are sent timeously to customers.

ØManaging the sales ledger.

ØLiaising with customers and the sales team.

ØAbility to deal with problematic clients.

ØAbility to reconcile complex debtors accounts.

ØInitiate legal action against debtors who evade or refuse repayment according to the terms and conditions.

ØManage bad and doubtful debts schedules.
