About Our Client The client is a fast-moving, technology-driven wellness vending business operating premium massage chair activations across high-traffic consumer environments in South Africa. They deploy automated massage chairs in shopping centres, airports, and other premium locations to provide on-demand wellness experiences to the public. This field-based role sits at the heart of their operations to execute quality performance and drive growth. The Role: Activations & Operations Manager The Activations & Operations Manager owns everything that happens in the field, from equipment storage through to ongoing site performance. This hands-on, field-based position exists to ensure execution, quality, and growth across all sites, directly contributing to the company through logistics management, venue development, and staff supervision. Main focus areas include contractor coordination, maintenance, performance monitoring, promotional staff management, and evaluating new venue opportunities. Key Responsibilities Manage field operations with a minimum of 3 years'' required experience in activations, field operations, or project management. Coordinate shop fitters, electricians, and site contractors while overseeing the delivery, installation, placement, and branding setup of equipment. Facilitate repairs through managed service provider relationships and perform regular quality checks across active field locations. Source, screen, train, and schedule promotional staff candidates using established scripts and onboarding protocols. Monitor performance data via the Nayax application, report on revenue targets versus actuals, and flag operational issues with strategic recommendations. Identify and evaluate new activation opportunities in shopping centres, airports, and premium venues through site visits and prospective partner outreach. About You Minimum 3 years'' experience in activations, field operations, or project management. Valid South African driver''s licence and own reliable vehicle. Strong logistics and stakeholder coordination background with excellent communication skills. Tech-savvy with the ability to work with performance dashboards and reporting tools. Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced, field-based environment with a commercial mindset. Experience in retail activations, vending, or consumer tech environments (advantageous). Prior experience managing promotional staff or field teams (advantageous). Existing relationships with shopping centre management or landlords (advantageous).
