POSITION INFO:
Job Description: As an Actuarial Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting actuarial valuations for the life insurance business across multiple countries. You will support regulatory reporting, financial projections, and key business initiatives while working closely with the statutory actuary and wider finance teams. You will perform actuarial data analysis, prepare valuation inputs, and contribute to IFRS 17 reporting processes. Additionally, you will review and validate work from junior team members, identify data anomalies, and ensure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders. Your role will also involve supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes. Skills & Experience: Minimum 2 - 4 years' actuarial experience, preferably in life insurance or valuations Strong analytical and numerical ability with high attention to detail Experience with IFRS 17 reporting advantageous Proficiency in MS Office, SQL, and working with large datasets Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience working across African markets advantageous Qualification: Actuarial Science Degree Minimum of 6 CT exams completed Technical member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
