JOB SUMMARY:
A position within Rondebosch, Cape Town has become available for an Assistant Accountant. You will be seeing that all transactions and payments are processed and posted in SAP accounting system, as well as, preparing General Ledger reports and reconciliations as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties and Responsibilities

Bank Statement process to SAP and file – receipts and payments.
Daily Bank Recons on Debtor's bank account.
Manage concur expense claims to ensure this is correct.
Update General ledger expense account Recons.
Compile and prepare recons for local creditors' Payments.
Compile and prepare recons for international payments – intercompany accounts.
Load all local AP payments.
Revaluations of Foreign Currency balances.
Prepare and post to SAP the month period Cost Centre Splits.
Processing of all AFI invoices.
Clearing Vat Account and preparation of Vat Return payment.
Reconciling and posting all corporate cards into SAP.
Manage and control the entire fixed Asset Register.
Manage and control short term insurance of all assets.
Posting of all Accruals and Prepayments.
Send / Receive Intercompany Confirmation
Prepare Balance sheet Recons
Assist auditors with audit requests and supporting documentation.
Vat clearing and vat submissions.
Reserve bank submissions.
Renew Reserve bank authority for international payments.
Analyse expenses vs OPI report and check all variances & explanations.
Assist with Admin HR/ Payroll duties.

Requirements

Matric
National Diploma in Accounting or relevant.
5 Years of Relevant experience.
SAP Accounting Software.
MS Office proficient.
