Assistant Accountant

Our client, an international manufacturing company, seeks to employ an experienced Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper to join their fast paced Finance Team.

The role is to start in January 2023, therefore, only candidates currently resident in Cape Town will be considered and candidates available immediately will receive preference.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

• You will have completed Matric, with Accounting as a subject, coupled with 5-8 years experience as either an Assistant Accountant or Junior Bookkeeper, specifically in a manufacturing environment.
• You will have proven experience in processing credit notes, updating of pricing with regards to forex, vetting new customers, reconciling sales figures from trial balance, reconciling debtors, writing of stock and collecting of outstanding monies.
• In addition, you will have gained experience in bank reconciliations, assist with cashflow forecasting and ensuring that the Trial Balance and bank accounts are balanced.
• You will also be experienced in reconciling VAT, managing accrual accounts, processing journal entries
• You will have Advanced Excel skills, as well as working on an ERP system (SAP, SYSPRO, Oracle, Great Plains)
• You must have a valid driver’s license, own car and a clear criminal and credit record.
