Audit Inspector

Our client has a senior position available for an Audit Inspector.

Requirements:

• CA(SA) trained in a public practice.
• RA registration would be advantageous.
• Private Sector or IFRS audit experience is essential.
• 6 years post qualification experience.
• Experience as a senior manager in an external audit firm.
• Experience in auditing and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in the financial and banking system would be advantageous.

KPAs:

• Participating in the team planning and scoping of risk-based inspections.
• Inspecting planned audit engagements and quality control policies and procedures.
• Regular interactions with audit firms and discussing findings with the engagement partners and leadership of the firms.
• Demonstrating a high degree of independence and professional judgement.
• Researching and consulting internally on technical matters.
• Preparing high quality reports to be presented to the Inspections committee.
• Preparing high quality inspection files with evidence of inspections.
• Ensure that all INSCOM queries are cleared and provide context and present if required at INSCOM meetings.
• Assist Senior Inspectors in training new inspectors.
• Participating in relevant projects.
• Assist with input on the public inspections report.
• Provide inputs on all the files quarterly.
