SUMMARY:
Manager – Automation Sales: An exciting opportunity for a driven Automation Sales Manager to join a market leader, combining strong technical knowledge with proven sales leadership, to drive business growth in automation and control solutions.

POSITION INFO:
Join an established leader in industrial automation, instrumentation, and control systems, servicing key industries such as FMCG, mining, and manufacturing. Based in Johannesburg, this role offers clear growth potential within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for managing a sales team, developing new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and achieving revenue targets—while providing technical support and market insights.

Education:

National Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering (or a related field)

Job Experience & Skills Required:

2+ years’ experience in automation/control sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, drives, instrumentation, and industrial networks
Proven track record in business development and achieving/exceeding sales targets
Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a sales team
Excellent client liaison, negotiation, and presentation skills
Familiarity with tendering processes, proposals, and contract management
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify new market opportunities
Knowledge of HSEQ requirements in sales/project environments
