Purpose Of The Job:

Our client an Automotive Financial Services Company is looking for an experienced Dealer Consultant to join the team. The purpose of the Dealer Consultant is to act as a good brand ambassador in order to grow the company Warranties market share by maintaining and building strong relationships with our supporting dealers, increasing the number of supporting dealers and taking ownership of stakeholder interactions throughout the process from sales to claims.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Build, maintain, and create strong dealer relationships
Generate new sales with each client account
Drive area sales and profit plans to budgeted targets through successful leadership, organizational plans, customer service, and outstanding execution of all field operations strategies, consistently across all dealerships
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and seek avenues to gain new potential clients
Negotiate contracts with clients and establish a timeline of performance
Collaborate with sales team to maximize profit by upselling or cross-selling
Maintain in-depth product knowledge and educate customers about our products
Maintain an understanding of the claims process and train the associated workshops on our claims processes and procedures
Understand and manage business by effectively using sales reports, assessing departmental results, and developing specific actions directly related to business development and growth consistently across all dealerships
Seek feedback from our customers by interacting with the F&I’s at the dealerships and observing shopping behaviours, and associate/customer experience
Ensure that trends of underperformance of associated dealers are formally addressed
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering timely and quality services
Develop strong working relationship with potential clients for new business opportunities within the assigned area
Maintain a strong product and competitive product knowledge of the industry
Be able to create and maintain a structured call plan
Educate dealership employees on their understanding of our product and its competitive benefits
Manage Dealers sales, claims and loss ratios

Ability to communicate fluently in English and Afrikaans
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially email and telephone etiquette

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Able to be a good brand ambassador
Self-starter with the ability to handle pressure

Minimum Qualification:

Matric

Requirements:

5 years of experience in calling on independent, used dealers to sell insurance/products relating to second gross in the financial services sector
Prior knowledge and understanding of the dealer space and the various players within the industry
A strong customer service background
