One of South Africa’s most exciting and fastest growing tech companies, and top online retailer of premium pet products from top international brands is looking for a vibrant and experienced Business Development Manager to join their team in CBD, Cape Town. This person is target driven, enjoys being on the move and loves creating and maintaining relationships but most of all MUST LOVE ANIMALS!

POSITION INFO:

Key objective: expand and grow company brand nationwide in independent pet stores and vet shops

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop a store acquisition, maintenance and sales strategy together with the Head of Consumer Brands
• Achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Create a store growth tracker to monitor growth
• Add new stores and grow existing stores selling in new-ness and working with stores
• Source and engage with potential partners for Pet Heaven lead generation and access to new potential clients
• Sign up pet community stakeholders on the Pet Partner program to increase customer acquisition and brand awareness
• Set up brand activation events and to grow Pet Heaven’s brand awareness and authority in the pet community
• identify additional opportunities for growth

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Proven track record of metting slaes targets and KPI''s
• Competence in Excel
• Commercially minded, strong negotiator
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to develop senior level relationships quickly and effectively
• Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
• Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
