JOB SUMMARY:
BA/Junior Product Manager (MUST HAVE UNIVERSITY DEGREE OR RELATED QUALIFICATION) - CAPE TOWN

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key responsibilities will include:

Determine what data needs to be gathered to inform decision making around product requirements
Gather and use quantitative and qualitative data to help formulate product requirements
Lead requirements elicitation workshops with stakeholders to define business requirements
Plan and lead workshops with stakeholders and technical resources to elicit detailed, low level functional requirements
Assist stakeholders to prioritize the requirements
Extract key insights from data for post-launch impact analysis
Suggest ideas to solve customer challenges and validate them in close collaboration with UX
Clearly communicate requirements to UX/UI design resources
Proactively communicate and collaborate with project team to analyze information needs and functional requirements to deliver the following artefacts as needed:

Business/functional requirement specification
Wireframes
Workflow / process flow diagrams
Data Model/s

Take end-to-end ownership of product development including documentation, implementation, testing, launch, and success metric monitoring
Facilitate backlog grooming and planning ceremonies
Clarify project requirements and create acceptance criteria with QA and review test plan and test scripts to ensure quality and coverage
Perform pre-launch user acceptance testing (UAT)
Collaborate with technical teams to document high-level non-functional requirements
Apply understanding of system architecture to help shape functional requirements
Ensure relevant stakeholders for a project are correctly identified and consulted
Have a deep understanding of core stakeholder pain-points / objectives related to a project
Manage relationships with stakeholders, related to a specific project(s), including obtaining senior stakeholder buy-in for requirements and relevant project status communications
Take initiative to identify critical problems and drive solutions
Mentor business analysts
Understand the product vision and strategy
Contribute to the roadmap to execute the product strategy

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field
3 years of business analysis/project management experience OR 1 year of product management experience
Experience working with relevant data analytics tools (e.g. Excel, SQL)
Strong analytical and critical thinking, using data to inform decisions
Passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high quality, innovative, clean solutions
