BI Developer (Team Lead) (JB2072)
Parktown, Johannesburg (Semi Remote)
R85 000 – R95 000 CTC per Month

Overview
BI Developer with previous mentorship/ supervisory experience required to play an integral part in directly supporting strategic business directives by giving input into overall architecture of the data warehouse, developing sustainable and efficient data models, and engaging reports and analyses for the business

Minimum Requirements:
6 or more years relevant experience
2 or more years mentorship/ supervisory experience
Strong experience in Data Architecture and Data Warehouse schema development (ODS, Dimensional Modelling, Data Marts, OLAP)
Strong experience in PowerBI, Power Pivot and SQL
Strong experience in SSAS tabular data model design, optimisation and query using DAX
SSIS design and development of ETL workflows, SSIS automation
Relevant tertiary qualification preferred
Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory experience and other Azure PaaS offerings preferred
Power Apps and Power Automate experience preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the small Business Intelligence team in South Africa
Act as an advocate of the processes and recommendations provided by the wider Business Intelligence Team
Act as a consultant to the wider Business Intelligence team in terms of the data warehouse entities and existence as well as correct usage of the data model
Service various Business Units with regular and ad-hoc analysis to provide insights into relevant business drivers through regular interaction with business stakeholders
Contribute to the reporting foundation through the development of new data marts
Audit reports for inconsistencies and errors and propose solution to fix them when found
