BI Product Manager

SUMMARY:

About the Role:

• The company is looking for a BI Product Manager to lead the development of analytics products that power data-driven decision-making across our business. This is not a traditional reporting role. You will be responsible for building scalable, high-impact BI products—from KPI frameworks and semantic models to dashboards—that directly influence revenue, customer growth, and engagement strategies. You will sit at the intersection of business, data, and technology, ensuring that analytics solutions solve real problems and deliver measurable value

POSITION INFO:

What You’ll Do:

Own Analytics Products End-to-End:

• Define and drive the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle of BI products
• Deliver scalable dashboards and analytics solutions using tools such as Power BI
• Move analytics from one-off reporting to product-led, continuously evolving solutions

Translate Business Needs into Data Solutions:

• Partner with stakeholders across Subscriptions, Editorial, Marketing, Finance, and Product
• Turn business questions into clear analytics requirements and KPIs
• Act as the bridge between the business and data teams

Define Metrics that Matter

• Establish and standardise core business KPIs
• Ensure consistent definitions and calculations across all reporting
• Enable trusted, decision-ready data across the organisation

Drive Delivery with Data Teams

• Work closely with:
• Data Engineers (pipelines and models)
• BI Developers (dashboards and visualisations)
• Analysts (insights and interpretation)
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of analytics products

Champion Data Quality and Governance

• Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and trusted
• Define and monitor data quality standards and metrics
• Support governance of business definitions and reporting logic

Drive Adoption and Impact

• Ensure BI products are actively used in decision-making
• Measure success through:
• Adoption and usage
• Business impact
• Reduction in manual reporting

What We’re Looking For:

Experience

• 5+ years in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Product roles
• Proven experience delivering BI or analytics products (not just reports)
• Strong experience working with cross-functional stakeholders

Technical Skills:

• Experience with Power BI (or similar tools)
• Strong understanding of:
• Data modelling
• SQL
• Modern data platforms (e.g. Azure, Databricks)

Product and Business Skills

• Strong product management capability (roadmaps, prioritisation, delivery)
• Ability to translate business needs into data solutions
• Understanding of key business metrics such as:
• Revenue
• Acquisition and conversion
• Retention and churn
