SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Team Lead to join a leading financial services organisation based in Cape Town. This is a hybrid role, offering the perfect blend of collaboration and flexibility.

POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description:
In this role, you’ll lead the BI function within the business where you will be partnering directly with stakeholders to translate operational needs into data-driven insights. You’ll guide a skilled BI team while remaining hands-on in Power BI development and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI professionals.
Engage with business units to understand functional requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
Drive data strategy, ensuring data accuracy, governance, and accessibility.
Design, build, and optimise Power BI dashboards and reports.
Leverage DAX and SQL to ensure efficient data modelling and analysis.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure BI initiatives align with business goals

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence environment.
Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, with strong DAX and SQL skills.
Proven experience leading or managing a BI team.
Strong business acumen and ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders.
Financial services experience advantageous
