POSITION INFO:
Our client in the online sports betting industry is in search of a Business Development Manager who will report to the CEO. This is a permanent, full time, onsite role which may require travel. The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, profitable expanding market presence, and developing strategic partnerships within the iGaming and online gaming sectors; including international expansion into new territories such as African markets. The incumbent will identify and secure new business opportunities, negotiate commercial agreements, manage key stakeholder relationships, and provide data-driven insights and financial viability assessments to support business growth and strategic decision-making. Operating in close strategic alignment with the finance office, the role also drives new-territory and acquisition projects-ensuring commercial ambitions meet strict capital allocation parameters - and works closely with the Product Manager and Head of Product on the Company''s product offering. The role requires a strong understanding of the iGaming ecosystem, including operators, affiliates, suppliers, aggregators, gaming products, performance analytics, taxation frameworks, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and relationship management skills to achieve growth targets, execute corporate development initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the organisation. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum Requirements Education Grade 12 (Matric). Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. Postgraduate qualification will be advantageous. Experience Minimum 7 years'' experience in Business Development, Commercial Management, Partnerships, or a related field and further experience in M&A, commercial deal structuring or corporate development. Proven experience within the iGaming, online betting, sportsbook, casino, affiliate, or gaming technology industry. Demonstrated success in securing strategic partnerships and closing complex commercial agreements. Experience working with regulated markets and licensing environments. Strong understanding of gaming products, including Sportsbook, Casino, Slots, Live Casino, Virtuals, and RNG products. Experience with business intelligence tools, CRM systems, and commercial reporting platforms. Established network within the iGaming ecosystem will be advantageous.
