JOB SUMMARY:
A large company is looking to employ an Expert Back-End Developer Lead with back-end experience to work on exciting projects in the Gauteng area. If you are interested in working with a group of like minded individuals, please apply!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Essential Skills Required:
Specific Technical Skills:

Meet with end users and gather/refine requirements.
Review system design and improve functionality.
Review and present changes to Product Owners.
Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements.
Actively participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and updating current live systems.
System integration to and from other endpoints.
System testing/parallel runs.
System implementation.
System audits/quality assurance.
Experience in architecture principles, system integration, technical sizing, high availability aspects, integration best practices.
Serverless development and support.

Core understanding of and working experience with:

Java
JEE 7
Lambda
Openshift / Docker / Kubernetes
Maven multi module project setup and development
Git with Bitbucket
Code quality with Sonar
Terraform
S3
CloudFormation
AWS Cloud
Open API
Linux/Shell scripting
React JS
Quarkus

Generic Technical Skills:

Understanding of BI Tools will be an advantage.
Understanding of integration between different technologies.
Coordination between development and support environments.
Assisting with the business case as and when required.
Planning and monitoring.
Requirements organisation.
Translating and simplifying requirements.
Requirements management and communication.
Requirements analysis from technical perspective.
Document requirements in appropriate format depending on methodology followed.
Assist with identification and management of risks.

Advantageous Skills Required:

German speaking (Advantageous)
Working on Agile Environment
Test Driven Development
Unit and integration testing

Qualification & Experience Required:

IT Degree or equivalent
Qualification/Certification in backend development technologies.
8 to 10+ years’ Development Experience (Expert)
Agile working experience (Mandatory)
