POSITION INFO:
Our client is a leading player in the import, distribution and retail supply of premium European food products. With operations that move quickly and a finance function that underpins every decision, they’re looking for a hands-on Bookkeeper who can manage high-volume transactions, keep systems clean, and ensure the business runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

Full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
Processing high-volume AP & AR
Supplier reconciliations and payment preparation
Cashbook management and daily bank recon
Assisting with month-end journals & schedules
VAT submissions and SARS compliance
Assisting the Accountant with ad-hoc finance tasks
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting internal audits

Job Experience & Skills Required:

3–5+ years bookkeeping experience in FMCG/distribution/retail (advantageous)
Strong Excel and accounting system experience
Strong reconciliations background
Ability to work under pressure with tight turnaround times
High attention to detail & accountability
Team player with a proactive approach
