Bookkeeper  | Durban North

Working in a team of 12, directly reporting to our Financial Manager and assisting our Financial Director.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Accurate Reconciling Debit and Credit remittance
• Compile and analyse a variety of complex accounting and statistical information to prepare financial and statistical reports
• Accounts to Trial Balance
• Reconciliation of bank statements with cash books
• Digital Banking and loading of payments
• Detailed record keeping and legislative (SARS) requirements, polices and procedures
• Tax and Vat queries and investigation of discrepancies
• Loading of relevant SARS payments
• Support the needs of the company’s Directors and staff

Hard Skill Set:
• Working and practical knowledge of Pastel Sage 50c Accounting
• Working practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Qualifications in Finical Accounting, Taxation, Business Information Systems, Auditing, Cost Accounting, Financial Management, beneficial but not       essential
• Working and practical knowledge of SARS systems – online and
• Payment Systems – Standard Bank Online, Mercantile Bank Soft Skill Set:

• Ability to work under pressure and sometimes tight deadlines
• Record of being accurate and factual
• Ability to work with a team in a open office environment
