Brand Manager

POSITION INFO:

• Identify key opportunities for your brands and develop and execute into Brand plans
• P&L responsibility for the brands you are responsible for
• Become the expert in your Pillar categories through understanding:
  • Big (macro) consumer trends, the respective pet needs, key product/brand facts and benefits;
  • Who your competitors are and what they are doing in your markets;
  • Market, category, brand and SKU performance as measured by data and research.
• Present on a quarterly basis a headline category update in SA (changes our consumer would see) to Shareholders / SA CEO to include:
  • Innovation / new SKUs / brands / communications activities;
  • Removed brands / SKUs / changes in pricing  or distribution;
  • State why it is important and any relevant NPD ideas.
• Successfully project manage existing SKU development and new product development through all project stages aligning with senior team
• Brief across business functions and receive input to deliver financially, technically and operationally robust products to achieve project milestones and senior management sign-off.
• Manage on a daily basis all aspects of artwork to ensure SKUs are compliant with Technical Regulations, brand guidelines or other requirements.
• Develop and deliver brand activity in line with the agreed brand plan
• Manage project with agencies to achieve objectives and within agreed timeframes
• Assist the Marketing Manager in delivering local brand communications opportunities.
• Manage the digital content of Pillar branded pages through to ensure consumers can find the best information about our brands. Pages must contain: up to date product information and imagery; SEO’d (Search Engine Optimised); support for Consumer Relations enquiries.
• Build relationships with internal teams, agencies and Customers, particularly Marketing, Sales, NPD, Technical and Procurement colleagues.

• Marketing degree/diploma
• Experience of various IT packages including Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Office/Illustrator etc
• At least 4 years in Brand Management with hands on experience in FMCG
• Valid drivers license
• Pet lover
