JOB SUMMARY:
One of Southern Africa’s largest retail and consumer finance businesses is looking for a dynamic and focused Business Analyst who will provide a specialist business and process analysis function. The incumbent will be responsible for documenting and evaluating existing business processes, designing and implementing new business processes in support of the development of comprehensive fit-for-purpose and efficient processes to optimize business results.

Job and Company description:
My client is a holding company owning the country’s top and most recognizable retail and finance brands. They are in search of a Business Analyst who can identify risks and address those risks by designing and implementing controls. A big part of the job is to implement new strategies to optimize and grow different revenue streams.

As the Business Analyst you will be responsible for:

Understanding current business processes, identifying risk and addressing those risks by designing and implementing controls.
Identifying poor and manual processes and recommending improvements and automation.
Contributing to strategy development and innovative processes.
Implementing new strategies to optimize and growing different revenue streams.
Calculating cost reduction initiatives and doing impact analysis on the changes made in the business.
Analysing various business data points to develop insights to identify business opportunities and risks.
Researching best practices and trends, and implementing new strategies.
Monitoring new strategies implemented and reporting the effects of the changes made to the business.
Day to day operational risk management.
Designing various reports and key dial matrix's that could assist business to better manage components of the business.
Understanding the IT system, then linking the information in the business data systems to the operational management of the business.
Using the data obtained and an understanding of the business to optimize the managerial decision making process and to make recommendations to top management.
Building models and doing calculations for a variety of business needs together with detailed impact and sensitivity analysis.
Contributing to the successful implementation of projects in order to achieve the business outcome.
Strong technology, analytical, MS Office proficiency and communication skills are must-have traits.
Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, colleagues, etc.
Take accountability for own performance and development. Engaging in appropriate training interventions to promote own professional development.
Continuously developing own expertise in terms of industry and subject matter development and application thereof in an area of specialisation.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

CA(SA) is non-negotiable
Retail of Financial Services industry experience advantageous
Experience in implementing new products and / or business processes
Understanding of retail and consumer finance
Stakeholder relationship engagement
