Business Developer

SUMMARY:
TrenStar is seeking a commercially driven Business Developer to grow our agricultural solutions business within the Mpumalanga and Limpopo areas, and preferably based in Mbombela or Hoedspruit.

About the job The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities for both TEAMAGRI software solutions and TrenStar''s returnable packaging products across fruit, vegetable, crop, livestock and related agricultural markets. The role requires a proactive individual who enjoys spending time in the field, building strong customer relationships, understanding operational challenges and delivering practical solutions that create measurable value for farmers, packhouses and agricultural businesses. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to acquire new customers, grow sales revenue, expand the rental fleet utilisation and establish TrenStar as a trusted solutions partner within the agricultural sector. Minimum Requirements: Minimum 5 years Business Development or B2B sales experience. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Experience within agriculture, logistics, supply chain or technology solutions will be advantageous. Strong technical aptitude with software applications and technology solutions. Valid driver''s licence. Own reliable vehicle. Willingness to travel extensively within the Nelspruit and Hoedspruit regions and work flexible hours when required. Key Responsibilities: New Customer Acquisition Identify and engage farm owners, operational managers, packhouse managers and agricultural business leaders. Arrange and conduct customer meetings, site visits and solution workshops. Convert prospects into long-term customers. Develop opportunities across the full agricultural supply chain. Generate opportunities through referrals, networking, industry events and direct prospecting. Solution Selling Sell TEAMAGRI software solutions to agricultural enterprises. Sell returnable packaging solutions including bins, crates, pallets and related products. Understand customer operational challenges and position appropriate solutions. Present business cases demonstrating operational and financial value. Conduct solution demonstrations and commercial presentations. Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial agreements. Account Growth Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships. Increase product adoption and usage within customer operations. Introduce additional software modules and packaging solutions. Drive long-term customer value and revenue growth. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who : Has a strong hunter mentality.
