JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking Business Development Consultants for an insurance company for permanent vacancies based in East London, Port Elizabeth & George, Eastern Cape.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Grade 12 with RE5 insurance qualification & FAIS credits (ideal)
3+ years sales experience – short term insurance preferred - alternatively solid hard selling experience
Proven external / direct sales experience in a target driven environment
Experience sourcing new leads in a client facing environment, lead generation process
Must have valid driver’s license, own car and be willing to travel to client sites for meetings if needed
Be able to target relevant demographics for product sales
Must be sales hungry and have a mature attitude and telephone manner with the ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
Candidates must be willing to under psychometric testing and a lie detection test, if reaching the interview stag

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Source leads to ensure a minimum of 10 quotes weekly, 40 monthly and 11 written policies monthly
Update matrix weekly
Manage lead generation process, presentations, consultations, communication, and general relationship building
Keep updated on product comparisons and changes
Serve the role as sales hunter in personal lines environment
Source leads and achieve sales targets primarily on motor & household domestic insurance
Core business of client is long- & short-term insurance, asset management, savings, investment, health care admin and employee benefits

Salary: R15 000.00 basic salary, uncapped commission & opportunity to earn annual incentives, Cell allowance of R350 pm
