Business Development Manager Position Available

POSITION INFO:

Purpose:

Our client, is seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager to identify and source new business opportunities.   Able to increase the value of attracting new clients, skilled with ‘innovative ideas’ and ‘new ways of thinking’ to diversity their business across new industries, both local and international.   

Business Development Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships; 
  • Increase value of current clients
  • Attracting new markets and improve sales;
  • Assist with value proposition and service offering development;
  • Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business;
  • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements;
  • Discover and explore business opportunities and oversee new marketing initiatives;
  • Contact potential clients to establish rapport with relevant stakeholders and engage through interactive initiatives, by arranging a meet and greet;
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials;
  • Evaluate options and resolves internal priorities;
    • Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations;
    • Examine risks and potentials for potential business opportunities;
    • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations;
    • Protects organisation’s value by keeping information confidential.
    • Enhances organisation’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests;
    • Explore opportunities to build out quotes and proposals for clients;
    • Education and Experience Requirements:

      • BA in Business Administration or a related field;
      • 6 - 8 years of sales experience with 3 years new business development with a passion for hunting new business;
      • Customer and user experience design knowledge;
      • Industry experience and networks within Consulting, Design Agency;
      • Sales networks across industries.
      • Strong communication skills and computer literacy;
      • Proven Track record of reaching targets.
