Business Development Manager

SUMMARY:
Exciting career advancing opportunity for an experienced sales manager with a proven track record in selling capital equipment to join a multinational leader in the packaging industry and develop new relationships and accounts in the African region.

POSITION INFO:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the candidate will be responsible for developing and growing new accounts and relationships in the African region as well as managing, maintaining, and developing key client accounts

Skills & Experience:

Previous business development experience

Strong technical or Engineering background (Essential)

Experience selling capital equipment (Essential - preferably in packaging the industry)

Minimum of 5 years sales experience

Microsoft package (Essential)

MS Dynamics CRM (Preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proven record of technical sales and meeting sales targets

Valid driver’s license and willing to travel frequently

Excellent verbal and written communication (English and Afrikaans)

Job requirements:

Travelling to various African regions and countries

Developing new client relationships and managing their accounts

Valid passport eligible for international travel

Willing to travel on a frequent basis

Driven individual able to identify and willing to enter new markets

Qualification:

Grade 12  – Essential

Qualification in Engineering, Sales, Marketing or Public Relations – Advantageous

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
