The successfully appointed candidate will primarily serve as a Tax Consultant advising clients, customers, and/or business partners on the appropriate management of relevant international Value Added Tax (VAT) obligations. POSITION INFO:

A Financial Services company based in Johannesburg North is searching for a new Business Development Manager to join their team. The successfully appointed candidate will primarily serve as a Tax Consultant advising clients, customers, and/or business partners on the appropriate management of relevant international Value Added Tax (VAT) obligations. Qualifications:

  • Charted Accountant CA(SA) qualification that is preferably recently completed is non-negotiable
  • Minimum two years’ previous working experience within a similar Business Development position involving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
  • Previous working experience involving various large multinational companies is high advantageous
  • Demonstration and/or proven ‘track-record’ of substantial interpersonal and communication skills is required

 

Job description & Skills:

  • Managing the end-to-end sales cycle by fulfilling all the sales related processes and procedures encompassing Value Added Tax (VAT) consulting
  • Promote the increased sale of the automated tax software on offer as well as the Business-to-Business transactions
  • Generating leads and/or conducting cold calling to bring about new business and sales through research and analyses of various markets and company profiles
  • Engaging with prospective clients, customers and/or business partners to develop an understanding of specific needs and subsequently present clients, customers and/or business partners with relevant solutions that aptly fulfil their respective needs
  • Facilitating the development and implementation of marketing content and/or campaigns to attract new business and increase sales
  • Constructing viable and/or feasible business development strategies that critically assesses newly identified/acquired business prospects and overseeing the relevant processes and procedures to ensure the successful implementation of these business development strategies
  • Establishing, maintaining, and retaining business relationships with clients, customers, and/or business partners by providing best-in-class customer service and by increasing their overall prospects of success
  • Scheduling virtual and/or face-to-face meetings with both existing and prospective clients, customers and/or business partners to nurture the relationship to obtain more intimate understanding of the respective needs and overall objects to ultimately establish and/or strength rapport with clients, customers and/or business partners
  • Contributing to the positive development and maintenance the current entrepreneurial company culture and/or sales working environment by continuously demonstrating high energy, dynamic, self-starter, and exceptional interpersonal qualities and skills
