Business Development Manager

SUMMARY:
Do you have pressure vessels, boilers or pipework experience and are you looking for a new career opportunity within a diverse stable company? My client is seeking a driven employee to help them build and convert a Sales Pipeline, on both volume and price point metrics in line with sales and pricing strategy agreed with Head of Business Development.

POSITION INFO:

Develop client relationships that are mutually beneficial

Set and achieve sales target and assist other departments to achieve their targets

Take a lead on customer interactions, from the initial enquiry to the project completion and beyond

Convince clients of the best solutions

Play a leading role in quoting on projects

Play a leading role in project planning, through close liaison and interaction with operational teams

Manage client expectations and contribute to maximising profitability on projects or manufactured products

Support the rest of the sales team

Increase market presence by developing and implementing appropriate sales and marketing strategies

Support the marketing department in streamlining the customer contact process

Contribute positively to the company’s goal and vision

Perform such other duties and goals as the Company may reasonably be required from time to time

Skills & Experience:

Boilers, Pressure Vessels or Pipework would be advantageous

Minimum of 6 – 10 years’ business development experience

Good communication skills

Sales and marketing management experience

Experience developing client relationships

Customer service experience

Qualification:

BSc/BEng or BTech or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
