Business Development Manager

SUMMARY:
To manage direct sales growth for new business within the Southern African Region and drive the growth of MINING business through directing the salesforce to increase sales.

POSITION INFO:

To manage direct sales growth for new business within the Southern African Region and drive the growth of business through directing the salesforce to increase sales.

Main Responsibilities:

• Direct the planning and preparation of business proposals and make recommendations to senior management.
• Oversee a business development team which evaluates, analyses, and formulates strategies for business growth.
• Oversee the development of key projects and is accountable for the successful closure of business deals.
• Negotiate letters of intent, memoranda of understanding, contracts, and acquisition agreements.
• Responsible for identifying new business opportunities with the objective of positioning the company competitively in the market,
• Conduct market studies and feasibility studies.
• Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers and professionals to achieve established sales and business development goals.
• Review and analyse the quality of information captured onto the CRM system and other relevant reporting systems, to ensure all opportunities are captured and updated when opportunities progress.

Your Profile:

• Degree in Sales, Business Administration or Engineering
• Minimum 7 - 10 years sales and management experience in the mining industry
• sales and application experience would be advantageous
• English proficiency
• Computer literacy
• Valid driver’s license
