SUMMARY:
To manage direct sales growth for new business within the Southern African Region and drive the growth of MINING business through directing the salesforce to increase sales.

POSITION INFO:

To manage direct sales growth for new business within the Southern African Region and drive the growth of business through directing the salesforce to increase sales.

Main Responsibilities:

Direct the planning and preparation of business proposals and make recommendations to senior management.
Oversee a business development team which evaluates, analyses, and formulates strategies for business growth.
Oversee the development of key projects and is accountable for the successful closure of business deals.
Negotiate letters of intent, memoranda of understanding, contracts, and acquisition agreements.
Responsible for identifying new business opportunities with the objective of positioning the company competitively in the market,
Conduct market studies and feasibility studies.
Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers and professionals to achieve established sales and business development goals.
Review and analyse the quality of information captured onto the CRM system and other relevant reporting systems, to ensure all opportunities are captured and updated when opportunities progress.

Your Profile:

Degree in Sales, Business Administration or Engineering
Minimum 7 - 10 years sales and management experience in the mining industry
sales and application experience would be advantageous
English proficiency
Computer literacy
Valid driver’s license
